SUBMISSION OF THE PAPIER MACHE!

Submission of the papier mache requires us to parade,sign the attendance sheet,and having a group photo;one with the skin colour mask and the other with the emotions.So I paraded in my white and black mask wearing all black.Then I signed my attendance and quickly line-up for the group photo.The activity was hell of a fun....Then we went in for a session with Ar Najib

Ar Najib said that we must draw 10 sketches of the story that Dr Ilias told us about the rabbit and the tortoise.3 Person were chosen to re-act the scenes of the story.The actors don't have to draw.(lucky them!!).Then we went outside and sit down to sketch.As the actors act,I sketch...It is actually harder than I thought...I think that it is good for the future.

PROJECT 2C:THE 101 MASK.

Assignments oh assignments....again!! what now...we are required to make 2 papier mache or in a laymen's term mask.On top of that the masks should be decorated.One with emoticons and in black and white and the other mask is in my own skin colour.Here's how we do it...


STEP 1: MIX THE TAPIOCA FLOUR WITH HOT WATER



STEP 2: PUT PIECES OF NEWSPAPER INSIDE A BUCKET WITH WATER.



STEP 3: WRAP A PLASTIC AROUND YOUR FACE.


STEP 4: USING THE GLUE YOU JUST MADE,PASTE THE NEWSPAPER PIECES ONTO YOUR FACE.

STEP 5: AFTER YOU HAVE COVERED YOUR WHOLE FACE,LET IT DRY FOR A WHILE.

ORIENTATION?? again??!! owh man....not again....at first this is what i feel bout the orientation week or GETTHO which is a combination of GET and TOGETHER.But as I get along with the activities it is actually FUN and TIRING!!!!! :))

You must be wondering...wth is this...let me explain..
1)BE PROACTIVE is about taking responsibility for your life.What you say is one of the most important things in life.It is all about CHOICE.

2)BEGIN WITH END IN MIND is all about setting you target.Aim high up to the moon,if you fall,you fall to the stars.It about you VISION in life.

3)PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST is about your priority in life.Your priority should be the important one...So it is about LIFE MANAGEMENT.

4)THINK WIN-WIN is about character based code for human interaction and collaboration

5)SEEK FIRST THING TO UNDERSTAND AND TO BE UNDERSTOOD.Meaning that you yourself must understand.Then only be understood.Basically it's about COMMUNICATION.
6)SYNERGIZE is about working together.Working in a team is better as "two heads are better than one".CREATIVE COOPERATION is all what you need.

7)SHARPEN THE SAW.You should have a balanced program for self-renewal in the four areas of life.It is all about SELF-RENEWAL.

Then,the Dr Naser showed us a video of an indian student of MIT which was really amazing.He invented things which is out of this world.I wish that I could have one of the technologies he invented.Actually the video was shown because it has all the 7 habits of highly effective people.

ASSIGNMENT 2B:MAN MADE STRUCTURE

BST...well what is that? BST stands for bamboo sound tool which is our next assignment.We are required to create a musical instrument from bamboo.Well,me my friends went up the hill behind RST to find the bamboo.A lot came in mind when we're talking bout music.but then I decided to make a simple musical instrument called the "BUSONG".



The "BUSONG" is made from two words "buluh" and "kosong".This is because the bamboo is empty inside.So it can make sounds.It can be played with other musical instruments as well.

We were supposed to describe about what i see,heard and smell in words based on the picture of a basket made from bamboo.So this is some of the words which is suitable to describe the basket.

ASSIGNMENT 2A:NATURAL STRUCTURE

Our next assignment is all about BAMBOO.We walked to the bamboo research facility and we gathered there.Then 1B brought us to what he called the "Dataran Taik Lembu".Then we were asked to do 15 sketches of tree,cows,goats,our own face and others.Each sketching is given a time for it ranging from 5 minutes to 3 seconds.Then we were asked to find bamboo clusters in a group of 6 and sketch it.The theme for the sketch is JOINT. There are 4 types of joint according to 1B.They are:1)Visual joint
2)Time joint3)Life joint4)Inspirational joint

Then we were asked to draw sketches of bamboo on an A2 board...AGAIN! There must be 6 drawings of bamboo.5 in black and white and one 1 colour. Here are some of the pictures of the activity...

ASSIGNMENT 1B: ME,MY THOUGHTS AND I

Hye again!! Let me update on my newest assignment which is ME,MY THOUGHTS AND I.For this assignment we are given a situation.The situation is:

21st December 2012
Supposedly a flood is going to hit Penang Island and it is to remain for at least 40 days.The task is to help improve the PONDOK or help rebuild USM/Penang after the disaster. I chose to write on its contribution after the disaster.





Well this is my first assignment using an A2 board...

"What I Heard" in RUS 101 (DAY 1)

12th JULY 2010


Today is a new chapter in my life.Its my first class in USM and i feel so excited and energetic.around 0830 I went into the class and there was a man preparing a slideshow for us undergraduate students.he was Mr. Wan Burhanuddin,one of the studiomasters.Sharp at 0900,the class starts.He begins with showing a graph and asking students about APEX.Then he showed another slide which begins with:
1)Intention
2)Act
3)Product




Next, Mr Wan Burhanuddin asked students whether they have any intentions on studying or coming to USM.Mr Wan Burhanuddin then explained that in order to be APEX students,our intentions,acts,should be APEX,then only the product will be APEX which means rapid or fast. one female student said that she didnt have any intentions to come to USM.Mr Wan Burhanuddin then replied "Why are you here then?".

Then theres the 3P which stands for :

2)Principle
3)Place

He said that these three things is very important and if you change one element,it will alter the final product.

Then he continued by introducing the RUS 101 actors.

Then Mr Wan began asking the students whether they know the history behind their names.Then Mr. Wan started calling out their names.The one that he kept on saying was Mccartney.

After that he began introducing the studiomasters.The first one was Ar. Mohd Najib bin Mohd Salleh in the field of architechture.Then there was Dr.Ilias Said,Dr Mohd. Zailan b.Sulaiman,Dr.Hanizun Hanafi.The lecturers did give us some tips,but mostly the meaning is the same but expressed in a different way."work hard","work extra hard" and "have fun working hard".

Lastly Mr Wan started briefing us on our first assignment which is creating our own blog.He added that the blog must be readable and understandable.The subject is "what I heard from 0900-1100,12th July 2010",which is what I'm doing right now and hopefully it turns out well.
